“..the period of youth is a fleeting moment; in this brief span, much of what is decided and done by each generation profoundly influences the future of society. Hence, there is no time like now, when the idealism, zeal and enthusiasm which are particular characteristics of youth can be employed to far-reaching benefit. Do not tarry, then, in the steps, you must take to shape your future; the current state of humanity imposes too many challenges and opportunities for you to hesitate.”

Youth Institute Campaign 2019
What are the courses like?
The Ruhi Institute courses assist each participant to strengthen their capabilities to serve their community. The material draws upon the teachings of the Baha’i Faith that allows participants to reflect on spiritual insights and gain the practical skills needed to advance on a path of service together. Through meaningful discussions, the group treads this path in pursuit of a twofold moral purpose: to attend to one’s own spiritual and intellectual growth and to contribute to the transformation of society, starting with their own neighbourhood.
What are Study Circles?
Study circles offer a sequence of courses offered by the Ruhi Institute. The courses bring together groups of friends in an enthusiastic environment that encourages them to deepen their knowledge, strengthen spiritual qualities and attitudes, and develop habits that enable them to see themselves as active protagonists in their communities. Hundreds of Brampton youth and young adults have participated in these courses, which have helped them to tread a path of service to humanity.
serving the community
Youth who have studied the Ruhi Insitute courses have arisen to serve the Springdale neighbourhood in many ways. Among the questions they explore in their study, hundreds of youth have channelled their learning and energies towards:
Thinking about the education of children in their neighbourhoods and conducting classes that tend to the moral and spiritual development of children.
Creating uplifting spaces and supporting groups of junior youth to help them develop their intellectual and spiritual capacities.
Fostering strong friendships and establishing meaningful dynamics with families and other community members.
